I've been a happy hooker since I was in grammar school. That is to say, I love to crochet. I find it less stressful than knitting and easier to do in a spontaneous way. I remember making a shell stitch scarf when I was in 5th or 6th grade. Now many scarves, afghans, toys and booties later, I'm making a blog to share my love for crochet with you. Crochet some love and pass it on.
Michael's craft store is sponsoring a project called Warm Up America and a sister project for Canada. They are asking for donations of knitted or crocheted squares in any pattern, as long as they measure 7"x9". They in turn get made into blankets for charity. The Michael's near me has a basket at the front of the store to add the squares to. To find your local Michael's or for more information see the website. http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displayArticle?articleNum=ae0095.

Teddy Bear Build-along
I found this Scrappy Bear pattern on this website: http://www.denisecrochets.com/crobear.htm
I thought someone might find it useful if I documented making it. I'm about half-way done now. I need to find my yarn needle to sew the parts together.
